This site is
brought to you by Yaletown Realtor Manny Riebeling, of Sutton West Coast Realty.

False Creek, which is not a creek but an inlet of the Pacific Ocean, was formerly the industrial heartland of Vancouver. The opportunity to clean the area came when an international exhibition called Expo 86 was approaching. Shortly after, the provincial government sold the former industrial land and CPR rail yards to Li Ka Shing, the only developer capable of developing the 100 acres of waterfront. Since then and under the name Concord Pacific, headed by Terry Hui, the company has been developing the area.
The life of the Aquarius Complex began when Concord Pacific assigned the project to the architect James K.M. Cheng to create a small city within a city. The project began in 1996 and was finished in August 1999.
The Aquarius Condo Complex consists of 4 towers that are linked together by townhouses and offices which share an amazing courtyard with a lagoon in the middle of the development. The amenities are also shared but only for the use of the residential condos or townhouses, such amenities include, 24hr concierge, covered pool, lounge room with billiard table and 56’’ TV (ideal for parties), movie room with 24 seats, gym, sauna, whirlpool, steam room, changing rooms, guest parking, car washing area, bike storage.
To really make it a city within a city, the Aquarius complex has retail spaces at the street level; these shops include travel agency, restaurants, banks and a grocery store. So you can live a good part of your life without going out of the complex, but that is not a good idea, because the neighbourhood (which is called Marinaside) has so much to offer. You can walk to Yaletown (one block), and enjoy the many restaurants and night life. You can also take a stroll or bike on the seawall, take the Aquabus to Granville Island, walk the kids to school (Dorothy Lam, one block), attend a class at the Roundhouse Community Centre, and play in any of the nearby parks such as David Lam, George Wainborn or Coopers’. If you work in downtown Vancouver you can avoid the traffic by taking the Skytrain from Yaletown Station (a few steps). If one word can describe the complex it would be convenience.
Rentals and pets are always welcome at the Aquarius.
The number of units and levels in the complex are as follows: Aquarius I, 38 levels and 189 condos. Aquarius II, 33 levels and 184 condos. Aquarius III, 17 levels and 84 condos. Aquarius Villas, 15 levels and 23 Villas.
Thanks to the great job and an amazing group of volunteers the strata is very involved and work hard to make this building complex one of the best in the city, the strata is always looking after the four buildings health, security and improvements
For this and many other characteristics the Aquarius is one of the best complexes to live in Downtown Vancouver.
